Coming on like a long lost Motörhead song from the mid-1980's, this song was a step in a more metal direction. I got to indulge in some Thin Lizzy style harmonies and a longer guitar solo and, of course, some super layered harmony vocals.
lyrics
Longing for his home
This holocaustic dream
This independent hero
Is put to the extreme
They're calling in darkness
Fresh for the need
This 18 year old kid
He's a war machine
Education's good
The money's always paid
And now you've got an honour
A medal you may gain
What you're trying to breed?
This ain't no bloody game
When you go down
You don't get up again
War breed
Thrown into the fringe
Of someone else's war
Killing many people
That you've never met before
An isolated mind
A training as a beast
Pulling at the trigger
As you're mowing down the street
Fill him up with drugs
And send him to the line
The Devil wants a word
Your running on his time
Watch the bullet whiz
Flying past the dead
Don't make a miss
You'll never lose your head
War breed
